Protein Bites Recipes!

As I've mentioned before, I am an Arbonne Independent Consultant.
One of the products that Arbonne carries is: Protein Shake!
It is pea protein, as opposed to whey protein. Pea protein is easier to digest and the Arbonne Essentials Protein Shake is vegan certified and gluten free! It comes in chocolate and vanilla.

I have fallen in love with the chocolate protein shake! I like to make it with some milk, ice cubes, sometimes a banana and/or PB2. I have it for breakfast or sometimes in the afternoon along with a snack for lunch. I have been doing it about 3x a week.

But, as much as I love the shakes, I really love protein bites! I have now made 2 recipes which I really enjoy and they are super simple! Very easy to prepare and make!

First Recipe: No Bake Protein Bites
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup almond butter
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
3 scoops chocolate protein
-mix all ingredients together, scoop into small bite sized balls and refrigerate for 2 hours...ENJOY!
A couple of notes about these:
The Arbonne protein serving size is 2 scoops and I think that'd work fine in this recipe.
I added a little more than 1/2 cup of chocolate chips because they were big, so I wanted there to be enough in all bites.
I think adding a tad more almond butter and honey would make these stick together better. I was able to make bite sized balls but they were not as sticky as I'd thought they'd be. These taste like cookie dough! They seem like a cheat snack and they are actually really good for you!

Second Recipe: Banana Chocolate Protein Bites
2 bananas
1 cup rolled oats
handful of chocolate chips
1 scoop chocolate protein
-mix ingredients together until all incorporated (I would pre-mash the bananas a little to make mixing easier)
-scoop bite sized clusters onto baking sheet
-bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees...let cool, and ENJOY!
These are SUPER easy to prepare, but do require baking. They come out gooey and really chocolatey which I LOVE!

So those are my two new snacks that I have been making, and eating! ENJOY!
