Why are you America's Top Bride?
Well....Why would I think I am America's Top Bride? I have no idea. This is actually a contest question. the contest is to win $5,000 cash which sounds like a golden opportunity to any bride who is paying for an entire wedding with just her and her fiance's income. But that is a tough loaded question. and to me... as i have mentioned, i am SO not the type to be "i am the best because blah blah blah"............yeah, no. LOL! I mean I have my princess tendencies and I get what I want (most of the time) but I have worked to get what I want. I mighta been spoiled by my garndparents during childhood but then I worked, saved my own money, bought my own things, and put myself thru college and now I have a big girl job that doesnt pay enough but I do it cause it is a job and it is something I love. So this is getting to be a rant, but I am just sayin' I work for things I want.....and I think that has made me a stronger person. But back to the main point, I dont like to brag about myself... and as much as 5 g's sounds amazing and would help us out a ton... i dont even know where to begin to answer that question. AND, do i have that many people that would vote for us?! i mean one girl who already entered has 7000 votes! yikes!
okay anyways..........in other wedding planning news.... we ordered prints of some of our engagement pictures and i got an email that they shipped so I am super super excited about that! also, we are waiting on our contract for our reception site. The reception site is actually a privately owned home that rents for a week...wednesday to tuesday and it is HUGE! when I say huge I mean 15 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and then 2 more main bathrooms on top of that. a kitchen that has 2 of everything and a table, room enough to seat 20 people. the house could sleep about 25 as some rooms are queen beds or 2 twins.....a biiiiig 'great room' with a bar and a wrap around porch, part of it being screen in....a fire pit area, a big side yard, and a tennis court! i think the only thing that might make this house even better would be a pool! hahahaha! so anyways, we are waiting on the contract for that.... and i went thru my entire book (The Knot Book of Lists) and I checked off all the thing we have done and it was a lot! we are on track and i need to feel good about that and keep a positive outlook because no matter what, when it comes to our Big Day, it is about us and our love and celebrating with friends and family and ENJOYING it!
