Welcome FurBaby!
Today, me and my fiance went to Petco, and we got our very first FurBaby together!!!!!
Let me just tell you, we both had family pets growing up...and then when I went away to college I got my first fish and his name was Dominic...he lived for 3 wonderful years! ((a long time for a Betta fish I thought))
So then, my fiance bought 2 goldfish, Tubby and Bubbles before we lived together. Tubby lived for 2 years and then got sick and Bubbles lived for 3 years, and just this past week unfortunately passed away after a run in with the filter, a tragic battle that he lost. So sad.
Anyways, we wanted a new pet! something different, something playful and fun and easy to take care of but give us a sense of responsibility as well. So, we began our search and started looking at lizards/geckos/etc.....and then, we looked at what melted our heart, furbabies! As much as we would love love love to get a dog or a cat, we don't have the time and money for that quite yet. So, we decided on.....a guinea pig!!!!!
Our guinea pig is a male, and he is chocolate brown and white and we have named him Carter! <3
We just brought him home today and got him all set up in his cage so he is still getting used to us and his new environment, but once he is less shy I will be taking pictures and I will post some!
I will write again soon about the wedding we attended last night, a very great evening! until then, stay well!
