i dislike change...

We went to Walmart today and we were in the isle that had coffee, and I noticed that Eight O'clock Coffee has a new package. I hate this. The new packaging is more modern, but it blends in with the rest of the coffee types...except for Dunkin Donuts because they are bright orange and pink.
Eight O'clock Coffee, for as long as I can ever remember has come in an all red bag with black writing. It was distinct and for me it was a symbol of so much more than coffee. I am very close with my grandparents and I have alwasy spent a lot of time at their house, from a baby on until my adult life. My grandfather always bought Eight O'clock Coffee no matter what. that is just all he ever had. I knew that was Boompie's coffee and I knew he made it reallly good and strong! The smell of the coffee is something I have alwasy loved. I distinctly remember the sound of the grinder early in the morning when I would sleep over their house and eventually the smell of the brewing coffee for breakfast. Boompie always bought the coffee in whole beans and ground it himself in the electric grinder they had. Once I would get out of bed, me and Boompie would make a batch of Jiffy corn muffins. Always jiffy, and always corn muffins. (on occasion we'd make jiffy blueberry) So anyways I guess what I am saying is that I grew up with and grew love for Eight O'clock Coffee and Jiffy Corn Muffins and those two things will always remind me of my Boompie!!! <3
So, I was sad to see that the coffee package I had always known now has a 'new look'.....
