Exclusive

I have now been officially exclusively breastfeeding for an entire month. What I mean by exclusively breastfeeding is that I have not pumped and I have not used any bottles with the baby. He has been only breastfeeding and I am immensely proud of that.
It is really nice not having to worry about pumping and not having to try and find time to fit in it to my days. I have recently been thinking that I will, at some point, need to pump so that I have breast milk to mix with rice cereal and to freeze more milk to have for the future. Right now, I have 15 ounces frozen but at this point that is technically only 3 feedings.
I am going to exclusively breastfeed for as long as I can. The first year of a baby's life, the primary nutrition is breast milk...so I will be breastfeeding for at least a year and then after that I will see how it goes. I don't think I would go TOO long (like not til he is 3 years old or anything).
I am still going to the breastfeeding group every Mon, Wed, Fri and that has been not only helpful but enjoyable too!
As of today, my almost 14 week old is 15 pounds 2.4 ounces! (keeping in mind that he was born at 10lbs 6oz) He is growing!

Our beautiful baby boy is now rolling over too! The very first time it happened we all clapped and cheered and he had this look on his face like 'what did i just do'? and then he kept on rolling over and now he has gotten to a stage where he pretty much won't do tummy time. Some days, no matter how many times we place him on his tummy, he will immediately roll right over to his back.
The last few days he has also been rolling onto his side while laying on his back and it seems like he is close to rolling from back to belly...that will be exciting when he does that too!

I see some signs of teething but have yet to feel any teeth popping through. He was born with a tooth though! Being born with a tooth happens 1 in about 3000!!! He is our special baby! We had nurses tell us that in their entire 20+ year careers he was one of 2 or the only case they have seen of being born with a tooth! It was quite cool actually. The tooth was pulled as it was loose and there was a risk of it falling out and then he could inhale or swallow it and that would cause issues, so to eliminate any risks, the tooth was pulled and at the tender age of 1 week, our baby got a visit from the tooth fairy!

Things are going wonderfully and I love being a stay at home mom. I truly wouldn't have it any other way. This is the most important time in our child's life and I love that I am able to spend every day with him!
