Update Finally

I know I know I know.....it has been FAR too long since I have written. Literally I have been writing SO many emails and planning and figuring out so much wedding stuff that by the time I am finished with all of that each day, I have no energy to write.
Well, HERE I am! I honestly cant even remember what I last wrote about so I will just start by updating on anything I can think of and if there is repeats, sorry.

My dress: I went and got the alterations done and it now has the "made for me" look and feel to it. The dress is back in my possession and It is ready to go for the wedding day. I ended up getting it taken in about an inch on each side, and I got a bustle put into it. It now has a french bustle, which gives the dress a whole different look, but I really like it! The french bustle took 10 ties, so I hope it isnt too much of a pain on the wedding day.

The Ceremony: Is completely 100% green light, GO! We have every last bit of it completed and planned out. The ONLY thing that we do not yet have is our marriage license which we can apply for anytime now and is valid for 60 days, and since we are 43 days until the wedding, we are okay for timing. I coordinated with the other bride who is getting married on the same day, at the same church, at the second time slot, and we split the cost of flower arrangements for the church. I HIGHLY suggest this, if possible. The reasons we did this were: A. it saved us money. B. It will be easier in the long run and C. We have to leave the arrangements as a gift to the church, so The flowers will be there for my wedding, stay for hers, and stay at the church for their services, etc. This way, It is one nice gift and the flowers are white so it is neutral to both of our weddings/colors.

The Reception: The DJ is completely paid for. The rental house is completely paid for. The rental list is finalized and we are paying that bill slowly but surely. The food and cake are all figured out and we have a plan for purchasing all of the beverages. We are using plastic plates, utensils and cups..........I suggest this to save money, and they make heavy duty plastic plates that look like china... they also make plastic utensils that are silver in color, so it looks like actual silverware. Plastic cups eliminate glass, which eliminates the possibility of breaking.
Some people might call this low budget, I call this sensible. The other big reason we did this was, if we rented china and silverware and glasses, they all had to be rinsed off/semi-clean before they got put back into the containers they came in.......we wanted to eliminate that whole process of who would clean them off, where would they do that, when would they do that, etc. Now, we can just recycle all the plastic stuff.

Me and my fiance have everything we are wearing on the wedding day. The wedding party has their attire. The parents have their attire. The flowers are ordered and paid for except for the wholesale flowers, which are planned out, just need to be ordered. I also highly suggest buying wholesale flowers and making your own centerpieces (if you are up for it) Because, wholesale flowers are cheaper, another area where you can save money. We paid $3 each for glass vases at Walmart and we will end up paying about $300 for like 200 flowers plus greenery, babys breath, and some other leafy thing. These flowers will be for the church pews, the centerpieces and the cake!

uhmmm OH transportation on the wedding day is FINALLY figured out and a check has been sent. so that is all good that was worrying me! and today, i bought gifts for the girls in the wedding, so that is another check off the ole list.

I am suuuuuure there is more... but right now, I cant even think of it! haha! I will post again tomorrow! I hope! <3
