All Things Christmas

Today has been a superbly productive day!
First, I went out to a store to buy my Fiance the "big gift" I am giving to him for Christmas. They had exactly what I wanted, and it was a lower price than I had thought, so that worked out wonderfully.
Upon returning home and hiding the gift under a sheet until I could wrap it, we went back out and had lunch at Subway, we love it there! After filling our bellies we were off to hunt down the perfect Christmas Tree! We started our search at a local farm, and while they had some eye catchers, once we looked closer we noticed they weren't quite what we were looking for. They seemed better from afar. This didn't ruin our spirits though, we went on to a second local farm supply place and there, they had bigger and better trees! It was here where our search ended because there was a beauty that caught my eye and I was sold! It was tall, full, and healthy looking, all good things plus it was not as expensive as I had anticipated. (another deal of the day!) My fiance and one of the guys who worked there worked together to strap it to the roof of my car (a funny sight!) while I went inside to pay. Did you know there is TAX on Christmas Trees?! I was surprised! I wasn't expecting that! But it is okay because this was THE tree!
We drove about 20 mph home with the tree strapped to my car, Thank Gawd it was a fairly short ride! haha! And when we got home we brought the tree inside thru the back door, another funny sight, me and my fiance wiggling the big tree thru the not so big doorway. We got it in the stand, straightened out and there it was, a beautiful sight! With my fiance standing at a little over 6 feet tall, the tree was at least 2 feet taller than him! It immediately filled the room with an amazing scent and it got me even more into the Christmas spirit!
we also took a trip to Walmart and the Vets office, and then finally we were home for the night. This is when I started wrapping presents, something I have always loved! Now, here I am with all the presents wrapped (the ones I have bought so far) and I couldn't be happier! Our furbaby, Carter, is feeling better and he is going to be on a new antibiotic, one that doesn't upset him tummy...he has his appetite back and he is more active, so he is almost 100% back to his old self, but he is still 100% cute!
After I was done wrapping and I was folding up the paper bags that some of the things I had bought were in, the Hallmark bag has a saying on it that caught my eye and stuck in my mind and I wanted to share it with all of you (whomever may see this that is) and what was written on the Hallmark bag was this: "Life is a Special Occasion"...........What an awesome saying! Life IS in fact a Special Occasion and It should be celebrated and enjoyed and cherished every single day! <3
