We registered!
This morning, me and my amazing fiance went out and created our wedding registry! Well, two of them...which we were not planning on but it happened and I am happy!
We knew we wanted to register at Target, we have talked about that since day one and we knew some of the things we wanted to put on the list, so we drove to Target with much excitement! We got there and we had to use one of the computer stations to create our registry...our names, address, etc. Then the computer spit out a print out with a bar code on it and our info and we brought that over to the customer service desk and they kept the paper and gave us... the scanner gun!!! THE funnest part! haha! So off we went with our scanner gun in hand to register for all the things we could think of that we would love to receive as wedding gifts. And, would be more than appreciated!
It is still weird to me... its like a public wish list of things you want people to buy for you... part of me felt guilty for putting more expensive things on our list....like i was asking too much of people. Part of me thought, who do I think I am asking for $80 sheets?! But then, I got swallowed up by the fun of it and I said to my fiance, we will just out everything we can think of on here and the worst thing that happens is that we dont get it, and so what if we dont. We SURELY are not expecting to get everything we registered for, obvi.
So after going thru bed, bath, appliances, kitchenware, etc...we felt as though we had put everything we had in mind and we handed over the fun scanner gun and went on our way with the knowledge that we could change, add/delete anything we wanted to online at home if we wanted.
Since we were in the spirit and in the area, we decided also to go to Kohls and create a registry there too! I am so so so happy we did because we ended up finding a few picture frames that I LOVED as well as a set of serving dishes that I LOVED... so I was really happy we did a registry at more than just one place. I mean Target is awesome cause it has almost everything and Kohls is great too because they have a bit of a different variety of things, so all in all is was a hugely successful day!!! And, we were able to check another thing off the wedding to-do list! Also, now, our guests and family and friends can look online and see what we have in mind for gifts, and they can start to plan what they would like to do for us...although being there for us and being part of our big day would be enough <3
