it has been quiet...
I haven't had too much to write about this past week. I am SUPER excited because I am going to my hometown for the weekend next weekend! So I will get to see my family and I will be HOME which I always always always love!
This week, I signed the lease contract for the house rental during the week of our wedding and I sent that off with a deposit to the homeowner so that should be all set. We will be renting this house, well its a really big house, from the Wednesday before the wedding until the Tuesday after the wedding. So we will be able to get settled into the house 3 days before our wedding day and then we will have 3 days after our wedding day to relax and get excited for our Honeymoon! Of course, the biggest day, Saturday the 12th of May we will be getting married at the church and then the reception will be at the house so we will have that all decorated and set up nice and pretty! I get excited just thinking about it!
I need to write checks to a few people and make payments on some of our things like the flowers and the church and the DJ..........but some of that can be done while I am at home and I can see the people in person and that way it keeps the communication open too and they know we haven't forgotten about them! haha!
We are starting to look into invitations. I think it might be cheaper to just print them ourselves on the home computer. and while i want them to look nice and come out good, the invitation is not something people are going to keep after the wedding is over. so to me, i feel as though i dont want to spend more money than needed on something that essentially will end up in the trash later down the road. i mean we will keep a couple copies of the invitation and i am sure maybe my parents or grandparents will too but overall the majority of people dont keep every invitation and 'save the date' to every wedding they have been invited to/attended...Do they?
of course when I start to think about wedding things, i cant just think about one thing. my mind starts racing will all the things i need to do. all the things that still need to be figured out. all the money we still owe. all the plans that arent completely set, but are halfway started, etc etc etc....................i could go on for hours. i know i need to just keep lists and one step at a time and not get overwhelmed or stressed because that just leads to more anxiety and more anxiety makes it less fun and planning your wedding should be one of the best things you have ever done up to this day in time <3 I like to remember to Just Breathe!
