Vitality Vox Box!
Hello Sweets!
I know I know, it's been a little while since I've blogged. I have like 3 different post ideas too! I just need to sit down, and write!
But today, I am here with: The Vitality Vox Box! This box of goodies was sent to me by Influenster completely complimentary for testing purposes!!!
This is my 4th Vox Box, and I adore getting them! I LOVE reviewing products! I like testing products, reviewing them and reading reviews that other people have written to compare my experiences.
I also love reading reviews when I am going to buy a new product or go to a new place. I think reviews are a powerful and helpful tool!
So onto what was actually IN my box!
1. Pure Leaf Iced Tea - Sweet Tea flavor - 18 oz
2. First Degree Burn Cream - full size
3. Playtex Sport Tampons - 16 ct.
4. Elizabeth Arden facial Serum - sample size
5. Bikini Ready Energy Gummies - one serving (2 gummies) sample
6. SoftLips Cube - Pomegranate Blueberry
7. 2 SoftLips Coupons
There were 4 full sized products and 2 sample sized products and a couple of coupons so there was a lot of value in this box! (Not to mention, the full size of Elizabeth Arden Serum, if purcahsed, is $60!!!)
Reviews:
Right off the bat I can say that I will not be using the tampons. That is a product that I personally do not use on a regular basis and they do have an added fragrance. "lightly scented" is I think what it says on the box and for me, that is not something I am into... especially for a product that you are putting into your body.
The Pure Leaf Sweet Tea was AWESOME! I will absolutely be purchasing this in the future. I really enjoyed it. It is an all natural tea with no preservatives, etc. And the Sweet Tea flavor was really nice. I always choose Iced Tea if I am not drinking water, so this product was "right up my alley" LOL!
First Degree Burn Cream: This is a product that I don't need to use right away, but it will be in the medicine cabinet for the future. This is one product we have not had in the house, and with 'baking season' upon us, I think this might come in handy for those 'oppsie' moments around the oven.
Elizabeth Arden Facial Serum...This specific serum, from what I saw online, is targeted for anti-aging, and it has little 'beads' in it that break up as you pump the serum out of the tube. I am a huge believer in using a whole line of products together instead of mixing and matching. For me, I am hooked on Arbonne, so to throw in a new facial serum, I think that may be too much of a change up for my skin. I am also 100% confident in the ingredients that are in my Arbonne prodcuts, and I know for sure what I am putting on my face, whereas I have not looked into Elizabeth Arden's ingredients policy yet. Just glancing at the ingredients I did see an "oil" ingredient which raised a red flag because oil doesn't let the skin breathe...so I will have to look into it further.
Bikini Ready Energy Gummies: I have never heard of this company before. I assume they are new?...but at first glance I thought: "gummies?!.....they always get stuck in your teeth" ...I like the idea of gummies and chewables but at the same time, I feel like you are never ingesting the full product because half of it is getting stuck in your teeth. I am still breastfeeding, so I need to be super careful about supplements such as these gummies. I also have an 'iffy' feeling about this brand because I've never heard of them before. And, no offense, but it almost looks fake. The website and the product labels almost look made up. And there is no mention of any kind of 'supported by' or anything like that.
SoftLips Cube: I did try this, this morning. And I do have to say that the smell was not terrible. It went on really smooth and I could still feel it on my lips after I ate breakfast. With that being said, at first glance, one of the ingredients is petrolatum! Petrolatum is a mineral oil...the European Union (EU) classifies it as a carcinogen. So, for example, Arbonne products are formulated without things such as petrolatum and mineral oil, etc. Arbonne goes by the EU standards. So I did try this product but it is a turn-off to have such ingredients included.
So overall, it was a great box with a lot of value and there were a few products that I enjoy while other's not so much. I do really appreciate getting Vox Boxes and again I LOVE reviewing products!
