wedding invitations!
The Knot is great, and it has been very helpful, and because of the checklist that they provide I knew that the next big thing we had to do was figure out invitations and the wording we would use on them. For the last few weeks we have been looking at invitation sets at different places and on different websites etc...there were a few that we liked but we hadn't found anything that we wanted to absolutely purchase yet. My issue is, essentially, the invitation will get thrown away. This is just a known fact and I am okay with that... I mean it is obviously that people will not keep the invitation to our wedding after the big day is over. So I really really wanted to spend as little money as possible on the invitations while still having them look good.
I flirted back and forth with the idea on whether to print our own or not... I want to be a Do It Yourself bride but I dont want to stress myself out either. So anyways, I decided that if we found a set that we liked, we would just buy it and forget the do it yourself thing....I reallllly wanted to try to get invitations at under $1 each because some invitations are like $3 each!
okay anyways, on Saturday night, I heard about Etsy and decided to look on there, its like an ebay for crafty people.... I had heard of it before but never really looked on the site. well, low and behold there were pages and pages of wedding invitations! and me and my fiance stumbled across one that we liked, and get this, it was 100 invitations, 100 reception invitations, 100 rsvp cards, 100 calendar stickers and the envalopes and address labels to go with it all for only.....$75!!!!! under $1 each just like I wanted!!!!! i was over the moon excited, and my fiance liked them just as much as i did so i was very impulsive and i bought them! at first i was thinking, wait a second, what did i just do?! and then i thought, they were everything we wanted, so it was a good choice. well, on sunday morning when i woke up the owner of the company had already emailed me that she had received our order and she would have a proof to me by that night!!! how amazing is that?! I got the proof and they look AWESOME!!!! i am so so so happy and excited and i cant wait until they actually arrive! and, this is another thing to check off the list! yay! things are coming together so wonderfully and things are just working out and falling into place and i love it!
